Every new building begins with considering the essence of the project, our clients’ goals, architectural precedents, the natural features that surround the site, and more.
We share our design concepts visually with our clients. Sketches, detailed drawings, computer renderings and three-dimensional models are among the tools we use to communicate design ideas. Consensus is built gradually, with input from all stakeholders.
Over their lifespans, most buildings will have many different owners and tenants and perhaps many different uses. Firefly Technical Services has significant experience in customizing or renovating existing spaces to accommodate expansion and reorganization.
With our extensive knowledge of construction types and building typologies, we are able to envision how an existing building might be transformed for its new purpose. We also carefully consider the flexibility of the new design, planning as much as possible for future adjustments to building needs.
Sketches, detailed drawings, computer renderings and three-dimensional models are among the tools which can be easily understood by owners, the design team and the construction team. Mutual understanding allows for a seamless, collaborative process, through which we determine the best design option. Design options also consider the phasing of construction work, which can be critical if users will occupy the building during construction.
